Abstract

Purpose. Based on the analysis of color and plastic features, compositional solutions, shapes, and ornaments of textile bags in the context of fashion trends, develop an original knitted shopper bag.

Methodology. The research was conducted using a comprehensive approach that combines analytical methods (comparative analysis of trends, shapes, color solutions, and bag ornaments), construction and design methods (artistic and technological design of an original collection, stylization of geometric "check" motifs, and creation of ornamental patterns), and experimental and technological methods (selection of knitted fabrics, development of a knitting program, and manufacture of an industrial sample). This approach combines analytical, artistic, design, and technological components, enabling the creation of a modern knitted shopper bag with an original design that meets the requirements of modern consumers and the principles of sustainable fashion production.

The results. The paper analyzes current trends in the fashion world and the needs of the target audience. The range of textile and haberdashery products in the collections of contemporary designers and brands was studied. The color and plastic features, compositional solutions, shapes, and ornaments of textile bags were examined in the context of fashion trends in the modern market. Particular attention is paid to the artistic design of textile fabrics using geometric checkered motifs. Based on the results, a diagram of the frequency of geometric checkered ornament use across the collections of well-known clothing brands was constructed. Based on the research results, the author's collection "Pastel Warmth in a Checkered Pattern" was developed, which presents a sketch series of modern shopper bags. Programs for the author's reports on knitted fabrics were developed for implementation on a flat knitting machine with jacquard needle selection. A knitted fabric was selected to ensure the textile product's operational and aesthetic properties, integrating modern fashion trends and sustainable design principles. An industrial sample was produced from the material. The design concept is based on a harmonious balance between functionality, aesthetics, and innovative solutions, allowing us to create a product with a distinctive character that fully meets the requirements of modern consumers.

Scientific novelty. It consists of combining analytical, artistic, design, and technological approaches to develop an original collection of modern knitted shopper bags that uses a mesh-patterned compositional structure for ornamentation and innovative methods for transforming geometric motifs compatible with the patchwork technique.

Practical significance. The research results are of practical importance to the textile and fashion industry, as they enable the creation of modern knitted shopper bags with original designs that combine functionality, aesthetics, and innovative compositional solutions. Practical applications include: the development of sketch series and industrial samples of products; the use of a mesh-pattern ornament structure for serial production; and the integration of original geometric motifs into modern collections. The proposed approaches contribute to implementing the principles of circular fashion and upcycling in the production process, thereby increasing the competitiveness of designer products on the market.
